 Josh joined the team back in April all the way from San Antonio, Texas and has been kicking butt ever since! His favorite thing about Sava's so far is the staff–he says it's an amazing collection of people and that he's learning a lot from them.  A random fact about Josh... he's a big audiophile and has a few thousand titles on vinyl (we're impressed!). Clearly, he loves music! We expect Grateful Dead to be playing in the kitchen soon.  Lastly, Josh says his spirit animal is a donkey! Why? Well, he says they both work hard, are built in a square shape, and are funnier than most other animals.  Make sure to say hi to Josh and welcome him to Sava's and Ann Arbor next time you see him around!

 Say Hello to Gabby! One of Aventura’s shining stars.  She’s been food running since March 2017. Gabby loves working at Aventura and says that they are all one big familia.  Gabby was nominated for this Employee Spotlight by her managers: "Gabby deserves to be recognized not only for her work ethic and dedication to her position at Aventura, but for the amount of light and positivity that she emits whenever she's in the building. She goes above and beyond to welcome new team members and truly demonstrates our SavCo core value: “Hospitality in everything we do”. We're proud to have her on our team.  Fun fact about Gabby... she’s into woodworking! She even built herself a bed that has storage underneath and fits ANY size mattress for only $100 – so brilliant! Gabby is also a Junior at The University of Michigan studying sociology, however, her long term goal is to become a dentist.  Per usual, we asked Gabby what her spirit animal is and her response was… “when I'm working I definitely relate to the little Energizer bunny because I’m nonstop energy and movement until my shift is over.”

 Jagger's been bussing, food running, and hosting at Sava’s for two years now. Jagger’s favorite thing about working here is the people. He says that the awesome people who work at Sava's turn a great job into the BEST job. We couldn’t agree more!  In his free time, Jagger is a breakfast chef extraordinaire! Maybe he should try out his skills at Sunday Brunch one of these days?  Based on Jagger's hustle, you'd never guess that his spirit animal is a tortoise. He likes to take it all slow and relax, when he's not in the groove at Sava's that is!  Make sure to tell Jagger 'hi' when you seem him at Sava’s next time you’re there! His smile is sure to brighten your day.

As for his spirit animal, Kevin desperately wishes he could say grizzly bear but went with a golden retriever puppy–for obvious reasons.  Chelsea's been bartending at Sava’s since 2009 (her response... woah!). Surely she’s served some of you a drink or two.  Chelsea’s favorite thing about working at Sava’s is all the love and support from co-workers and management. She says the management team really looks out for us as individuals for our success at work and in our personal lives. "Overall, the people here really make the place!"  In her free time, Chelsea loves to explore and try new things! She’s constantly dreaming of places to go and skills to acquire. She believes that positive change happens when a person opens their mind to the world's possibilities. We love the way you think girl!  Lastly, for her spirit animal… Chelsea likens herself a seahorse! They are romantic creatures who love to dance with their chosen mate each morning. They also change colors rapidly and so does she, with her expansive wardrobe.  Next time you’re at Sava’s, make sure to say hi to Chelsea!

 Issam's been with us at Aventura for the past four years… that's nearly as long as we've been open!  Issam's favorite thing about Aventura is the teamwork and we couldn't agree more.   Interesting fact about Issam? He says has magic hands–especially in the kitchen. You can definitely thank him for all the delicious paella that you've surely enjoyed for the past several years.  Lastly, as for his spirit animal, Issam chose a dog because he grew up with dogs and loves them.  Make sure to say hi to Issam and thank him for tasty paella next time you're at Aventura!
